Job description

The Channel Sales Representative position requires an experienced, reliable and task-oriented person who enjoys working in a growing multi-state business.  In this position, the main focus will be establishing and maintaining strong sales relationships with our distributor partner community under the direction of the Director of Channel Development.  This role requires strong attention to detail and complete confidentiality. It entails up to 60% travel covering accounts in the Southeast United States.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Manage the daily relationships with wholesale distributors selling to the security dealer and integrator community:
    • Coordinate product training for both staff and dealers
    • Communicate and manage promotional plan
    • Identify and forward dealer referrals to the assigned Regional Sales manager
    • Schedule and attend trade shows and counter days
  • Serve as daily point of contact for distributor partners headquartered in the territory that include:
    • Silmar Electronics
    • System Distributors, Inc
    • The Systems Depot
    • SS&SI
  • Execute additional Sales and Marketing programs that include:
    • National partners’ sales incentive programs
    • Central Station acquisition programs
    • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
    • Perform special projects as directed by management
    • Travel up to 60%
    • Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in the industry with existing relationships with the distributor partners
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software
  • Ability to meet all assigned deadlines
  • Acquainted with general business office procedures
